Abnormalities of the\u003cbr\u003efrena, such as tightness, atypical location and\/or appearance are often\u003cbr\u003emissed in speech and feeding evaluations because many medical and\u003cbr\u003eeducational professionals have not been trained in the diagnostic\u003cbr\u003eprocedures for structural and functional red flags of TOTs.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThis course will discuss how medical and education professionals such as\u003cbr\u003eIBCLCs, occupational therapists, physical therapists, speech-language\u003cbr\u003epathologists, dentists, ENTs, pediatricians, orthodontists etc. can quickly\u003cbr\u003eassess for TOTs and make the proper referrals to a specialist who has\u003cbr\u003especialized training in this diagnosis. Common symptoms will be\u003cbr\u003ehighlighted such as sleep disorders and dysphagia.
